Teaching the students in EFL environment is not too easy for me.
The teaching methods that I apply in my class take much part of Audiolingual and behaviorism. Eventhough the English textbooks contain interesting activities per periods, it's still got a lot of Listen and Repeat. And it's true that the students do concentrate all together when they have to listen and repeat.
This isn't an ideal English lesson though. I prefer to use CLT especially Task-based Language Teaching (TBLT). I want to make my students be able to use the language learned in their lives. Not only know what some English words mean in Korean, but to know what words to use in various situation and get what they are supposed to get. Through TBLT, the students can be ready for the real world and life.
I hope to teach through TBLT in my class and build real communication.
